Graduate Writing Boot Camp

Have you completed your research and are now writing chapters of your thesis? Want an environment where you can write distraction-free and make significant progress? Graduate Writing Boot Camp is for you!

Over three consecutive days, Graduate Writing Boot Camp will give you a productive, distraction-free work environment and space to make significant progress with your writing. We will also provide you with the opportunity for at least one individual session with a Writing Specialist, which will help you develop the strategies to become a more skillful writer. There will also be short input sessions that will equip you with techniques to help motivate you to continue with your writing.

All PhD students who participate in Graduate Writing Boot Camp will be entered into a draw for an all-expenses-paid trip to a five-day thesis writing retreat offered by Queen’s University. Two PhD students will participate in the Lake Shift writing retreat, along with doctoral candidates from across Ontario. Not to worry master's students, we will have some great prizes on hand for you too!
