Communicating with you

Email accounts

All graduate students will receive a UOITnet email address. New students can access their UOITnet email accounts upon accepting their offer. You will need a temporary network password to access your account. This will be emailed to you by the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

Once you are enrolled at the university, this is the only email address we will use to communicate with you. It's important to check your UOITnet email account regularly so you have the latest information about registration, finances and academics. email addresses

Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Research Assistants (RAs) employed by the university will have a email account. This will be used for employment-related purposes only.

Each month, two different newsletters will be sent to your UOITnet account:

  • The Keynote - newsletter from SGPS containing information on upcoming workshops, scholarship competitions, events, important academic dates/deadlines and updates from the Graduate Student Council. Sent at the middle of the month.
  • Ridgebacks Report - our newsletter for all university students. Sent during the first week of every month.

Whether you are registering for classes, checking your account balance, need to download a form or want to see the latest announcements, our student portal MyCampus is your central resource. To log in to your account, use your nine-digit UOIT Student Number as your username. Your password is your birthdate in the format MMDDYY (e.g. December 25, 1979 = 122579). After you have logged in to MyCampus for the first time, it is highly recommended that you change your password.
