The Frederick Banting and Charles Best Canada Graduate Scholarships Doctoral Awards (CGS-D)

Description:

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Doctoral Research Awards provide special recognition and funding to students who are pursuing a doctoral degree, allowing them an opportunity to gain research experience. There are two programs administered through a single application:

  •   The Frederick Banting and Charles Best Canada Graduate Scholarships (CGS-D) for study in Canada.
  •   The Doctoral Foreign Study Award (DFSA) for study abroad.

Value:

Both the CGS-D and the DFSA are of equivalent value (maximum $35,000 per year for three years).
