Off-campus research
In many cases, supervisors have on-going research projects that may require a graduate student to perform research off-site. In order to ensure that all procedural requirements have been considered and met, supervisors requesting a graduate student(s) perform research off-campus should do the following:
- Ensure supervision is arranged by an individual at the off-site location.
- Confirm compliance with any IP or other implications of an existing industry contract with Office of Technology Transfer and Commercialization (if applicable).
- Ensure an Off-Campus Event form is completed and submitted for insurance purposes.
